Frankenstein Graffiti

0

Frankenstein is such a pervasive cultural icon that stencils of the monster are even used in graffiti.

It’s interesting, however, that most people think the monster is called Frankenstein until they see the 1931 film or read the book.

Susan Tyler Hitchcock has written a book about the cultural history of Frankenstein, which delves deeper into Frankenstein and it’s influence in popular culture.

Frankenstein’s monster is a popular Halloween costume, has been used for a breakfast cereal called Franken Berry and has been featured on a postage stamp twice. Sometimes it seems like the monster is everywhere.

Are you aware of other examples of Frankenstein graffiti? I’ve never seen any in person but was intrigued by this photo that I found on flickr.
